Grooming dogs means more than brushing your dog’s fur and attaching a flea collar around its neck. It also means:
- using undercoat rake or stripping knife to remove dead fur (usually for breeds with thicker fur)
- fur trimming (for big and small breeds alike) – some breeds need real hair cuts while others get completely shaved in the summer
- nail trimming, which is a very difficult task that dogs don’t enjoy and that oftentimes cause bleeding and infections.
